My wife is from Alcoy, Cebu. I know that travel to and from Dumaguete is pretty easy. Ceres bus south to Liloan and take the fast ferry to Sibulan. However, I am sure that eventually we will have a car and at times she will no doubt want to take the car home. I know there is a ferry that leaves somewhere north of Dumaguete and goes to Bato, Cebu. That works but adds some distance. So are there any other options?
Maayo run car ferries Liloan - Sibulan about every 90 mins thru the day. LCT type vessels, takes about 30 mins.
The Bato to Tampi ferry is not a logic choice when your final destination is Dumaguete but only useful in the event you have missed the last ferry in Lilo An to Sibulan @10:30pm. From Bato still departs a ferry to Tampi @11:30pm.
That's good to know. Google Maps is not so knowledgeable though, as it always routes the "Car" option up to the Bato-Tampi ferry.
