Ever wonder:confused: what is going on in side of a dog’s mind, let's listen to Kera (Great Dane) Max and Spot (native dogs) and young Storm (Doberman puppy) and see what is on there minds.:D

My children always hassle me with having dogs and cats here, but I always say to them ,I don't allow dogs inside the house .I do love dogs ,i always get attached with dogs. But in contrary, I also don't like the responsibility esp walking dogs and picking up their droppings on pavements . Children said "us and dad will do it mum" ,but then again you can't always live on promises of kids .Preferably, I would like dogs to stay outside the house in kennels, but can't do that here during the winter. I don't like either being accused allegedly committing somekind of animal cruelty .For now they have accepted the option of bunny rabbit and guinea pig . Eventually when times comes we'll be in Philippines (kids out of the nest) ,surely dogs will be in the picture.

Btw,I am curious if you don't mind me asking ,how much food does your Great Dane consume Rev ? This is odd query , but haven't had dog that size .It's such a lovely dog.Certainly , its huge size will scare off potential thief that climbs in.

Thank you so much for sharing your photos. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats that we will be bringing with us this fall. Hopefully we'll be able to find a rental home that allows animals. Anyway, as an animal lover, I always enjoy seeing these type of photos.

Hi tfa1957; It's nice to know people like you guys love their pets wherever they move they go also. Some people don't care for their animals and that's a pity. I am a member of HSUS and love all kinds of animals (even the meanest and wild ones). Don't worry about your pets when renting a home in the Philippines. I knew some expat neighbors, renting in Dumaguete, who have two dogs and a cat, but they aquired them in Manila. As far as I'm concerned, they don't have problems renting the house. It's not like here in USA that you have to pay $400 or more for each pets you have. Few years back, we had our house (in USA) rented to people we don't even know, they had two cats, but my husband and I did not charge them. But to make sure you won't encounter problems because of your pets, you can ask some of the members here especially the expats who have pets living with them. Good luck and have faith.

How much does my Great Dane eats? She eats a lot, she is still a puppy (13 months old) and she is still growing. I buy a 50 pound bag of dog food every two weeks, but all my dogs also eat rice (yes rice) and left overs, so 50 pounds is ok right now, but my Doberman is growing and she eats a lot so that 50 pound every two weeks may turn into once a week. We are planning to mate our Dane at the end of the year with another Great Dane, and the cost of feeding them all will be fun to deal with.

The great thing about the Danes are their size and their big voice. I plan to have some more Danes later in the year to sales to others that wants a big dog and a big food bill as well:wink: . Over here a big dog is just as scary as a big foreigner and I plan to raise a few more big dogs to sale to those that want that extra feeling of security. Next year I will mix the Doberman with a German Shepard to sale to those that wants a little bit more of added security at their home.
