Hi, how can I find a 2 month furnished apartment in Dumaguete (or Negros - it's essential that I can get highspeed (included or GSM), and have reliable electricity as I'll be working. I'm open to short term rentals, sharing a home, or a religious/writers retreat centre. I work for an NGO, am a peace blogger, and will have some online meetings at odd hours, so need a quiet place to work and not to disturb others if I share accommodations. Timing is February - April (tentative Feb 6 or 11 for 6-8 weeks), then off to explore the Philippines! Thanks in advance. I'm a writer, diver and really looking forward to this retreat!
Hermogina apartments, just past Robinson mall. A studio is 10,000. and includes internet and cable. They do month to month, and when I moved out I was given my deposit back the same day. Same with my buddy. I had a problem once with my internet, actually was my router, and they were all over it to make sure I had internet.
Sitting in Hermogina Banilad studio right now and I love it.. all you need is a hotel travel router (Amazon).... kitchen burner is electric... water is 30p per container and it's a around the corner...Polly is the man down here...great guy lives with his family downstairs on the studio side....can hook you up with a scooter for $100 a month..
Hassaram Courtyard in Piapi, Dumaguete is close to the airport, port and the boulevard. Several popular restaurants / bars are walking distance (lantaw, cafe racer and others). They got one and two br apartments in a relatively quiet area, fully gated with staff to take care of any issues on site. They also can take care of cleaning your flat. Laundry service is just across the street. Apartments are nicely furnished and with reliable internet (sky cable). Since it's Dumaguete city electricity isn't an issue as well (way more reliable than, say, in Valencia). Starting with 17k/mo for a 1br unit for short term rentals its not exactly cheap though. http://hassaramproperties.com
