I think Dumaguete has an initiative regarding this electric powered vehicle thing long before this electric jeepney came about. I don't know what happened with that. I suppose there was an electric engine imported from the US which was brought in one of the machine shops here by a US-based engineer with roots from Dumaguete to see if a body could be built for that electric engine based on the conditions that we have here.

Well, since Dumaguete is one of the environmentally conscious cities in the country, I beliive this electric jeepney would soon be here.
