    No explanation required!

No, you don't owe an explanation and I did not ask anyway, but the topic was floating away from reality, growing bigger as it was before, that is why I was posting.

renting or buying all depends on the phase of your live you are in (no matter where in the world), buying/builing makes financial sense but I am not sure how much sense considering property laws and problems, and you need of course loads of spare time for such projects (besides if you are not that experianced it can turn into a nightmare or a financial disaster)

Yeah well landlords all over the world can be a pain in the butt and I know since I am one :D

Greed is a common pit to fall in, many do not understand a good long term relation is much more profitable, anything a landlord thinks to gain by getting the last drop out of rents you lose double when it is vacant.

I would just go into these practices if I want to get rid of somebody, if I got tenants that give good care of the house and are pleasant I will make d*mn sure I take care of them the best I can.

Overal small appartments seem to be cheap but as soon as it gets a bit larger some places in Ph seem to get absurd expensive, Dumaguete is a great place but it some seem to lose perspective a bit, it is after all sort of in the middle of nowhere (from a global perspective), it is still a province town.

And I keep saying that the Filipines seems to have a bad understanding about the global picture and is in danger to price themselves out of the market, there is too much focuss on the money foreigners have and no understanding they can spend that money all over the world. There are loads of places with nice(r) weather, good beaches and sea etc.

With a plan they could attract a lot more captital rich people
