    hi joane,

i am from dumaguete also but i have been in cavite also. i worked there and also i have a brother living there. you could come to dumaguete and see it for yourself. dumaguete is such a wonderful place and so many things to see. cavite is flatland area and you will get a new feeling when you come to dumaguete for sure!!!! having vacation down here will get your money worth and it is also cheaper compared to many commercialized areas. so cheers and good luck to your trip soon!!!!

    Hi Joanne

Some members might be able to share some insights into your trip itinerary for dumaguete if you give them info about type of activities you are more inclined to do .Dumaguete is by the sea side and foothills of the Mt Talinis ,there are hikes you can do or climbing the cuernos:wink: ; diving, snorkeling,or dolphin watching,or just lounging in the beach, there also some caves if you are a spellunking enthusiast ,and a bit of night life too but not any comparable to the raving of manila.Have a nice trip.

Thanks for inputs... spellunking attracts me most I have never tried it. I also enjoyed just lounging around the beach area... are the beaches as crowded as Boracay- I mean locals who always run after you? I hate to be bothered by people selling goods or services while basking under the sun...

any suggested hotel or transient house to stay?

I am happy how the people here are very helpful.. Have a wonderful day to all!!!

Boracay is crowded during high season, especially Feb - May. If you ever plan to visit, do so in off season when it is very quiet but while you can still enjoy all the amenities on offer.
