No I'm not saying men in general are arrogant. YOUR comments were arrogant! Apologies for assuming you are a man, but out of interest, was I wrong?
Yes I know the names of most (not all) hotels on this island (there are loads, after all, why should I be expected to memorise the names of every single one?) but the newest Korean one only just opened and is miles from my house. Grand Vista I believe it is called. It's hideous. Other ugly monstrosities are Chinese and Filipino owned. Interestingly a lot of the Europeans I know tried hard to build their establishments to blend well with the surroundings and used native style design and architecture.

Does anyone have pictures of the "hideous" looking resorts that have been built?

    Architect wanted

Since everybody's so passionate about this topic.. Can somebody suggest the name of a good Architect here in dumaguete. I'm planning to build my home and still scouting for a reputable architect. Any suggestions?

    land buying and ownership

I agree with you, i dont like to repeat telling my bad experienced buying land in the mountain near dumaguete....But I hope some who read the story of my "catastrophe" land buying can give them a warning to be careful when you buy land there.... always look for a land who have a clean title and investigate more....

Ugly in the manner of multi-storey carpark, government office or correctional facility! Will supply pics soon.

    Just terrific,
We are on an early stage of building. I am dealing with an architect in DUMA. We sent our "must haves" and "wish" lists to him. After visiting the site, he sent us 3 house plans. All of them are wonderful. Now we have the option which plan to choose with maybe a minor suggestions.

I believed in "beauty is in the eye of the beholdder". What might be ugly to one person, could also be a joy to behold by another. We only have few things to consider when building this house: comfort, security, money and the environment.

You can PM me if you want this Architect's phone #. Good Luck.

    Show us the plans

If you can take digital photos of the finals rendering of the 3 houses that would be great and then upload them here
