I agree the Bush administration is the worst thing that could have happend to this country. The invasion of Iraq was simply criminal.
So what if he gasses his own people with the gas we provided him to use against the Iranians. Lets be honest here. The world does not give a sh*t. Look at all the hell that goes on now, this very minute in africa and eastern Europe, Middle east, asia and Latin America. We dont invade these countries, for one simple reason, we dont care. The premis of Iraq for Oil is stupid, we dont not get oil from them. Thats more of a European and asian issue.

John, you are correct, however, Iraqi oil makes no difference for the US. The lack of thier oil would effect global markets.. however we could still keep going as normal. By the way John, your the only person that I have heard who actually has a clue on whats going on in Darfur.

I'd check out Colleen Rowley's (Time Mag's woman of the year 2002) story it leaves a lot of questions unanswered. Also I'd check out 911Truth.org ::::: The 9/11 Truth Movement NOT to take it all as truth and to make a snap decision, but just to get an idea of some of questions that are being asked. Having reviewed a lot of evidence for and against, I'm left wondering; but pretty sure that the official line is pretty much non-sense in the sense that it doesn't acually make sense. WTC7 should not have collapsed, whatever people say it's nonsense up until 911 no steel framed building had ever collapsed due to fire or anything else (earthquakes excepted) except demolition... but that's just two of so many areas to look at. I don't think we can draw conclusions at this time but if I had to I'd say it was more likely to be a conspiracy of some sort rather than a highly organised and somewhat lucky (in that incompetense seemed to be rife in US agencies at that time) terrorist attack.

On the Oil front the US may not be getting oil from Iraq today, but they'll still be drawing from the global market when Iraq oil is a larger part of the that market... which is pretty much the same thing. Any reduction or lack of access to any oil reserves present or future affects oil prices and therefore economic stability.

LMAO, there is no grassy knoel or moon studio for the moon landing. Alot of the questions refered to as " Smoking gun", is just lame and silly... It claims that steel biulds had never collapsed before this.. fo other reasons than earthquaks.. It fails to take into account the jet fuel, wieght and speed of the aircraft. That is what brought donw the biuldings... I have seen ship bulk heads melt under fire before... The USS Forestall nearly sank when it cuaght fire. The boat simply started tomelpt under the intense heat.

WHy was the airforce not shooting the planes down.. simple, this never happend before. Shooting down a comercial airliner over a crowded city was something they were not prepared to do. The hijackers always landed before, not crashed into biuldings. In simple and uncomplicated terms.. we got caught with out pants down. Realistically we still hvae done the bare minimum to espouse safety... security is very much a joke. Take your avrage mall... still zero secuity. Any mall in Manila has more security that a mall in US.... sad but true..

The US is not ready to even begin to contemplate real security. Basically it is still treated like a joke. It will take several more attacks for the US to really begin to react.

Belive what you wish. The simple truth is they did hit us on that day. If it males you feel safer to think it was some super duper consperacy... go for it.

a properly released factual us Gov document outlining the concept of a real or simulated terrorist attack, I think this is why you guys have so many conspiracy theorists, because the US government will at least consider things that wouldn't get airtime elsewhere. My view on 911 is 1 year out of date and things move quickly.

The next conspiracy theory to come true I think will be the release of the Lockerbie bomber from Libya.

 

Well, while i have very serious doubts about what G.W. spouts, 9/11 did happen.. thats made up.

Wonder if there will be an intensive action on the southern part of the country. WIll it spill over to otherparts of the country...

 

Sorry to hear about those Marines. What little experience I've had with Philippine Marines..they struck me as a very professional crowd, like Marines everywhere. Hope their fellow Marines deal with those who murdered their comrades. Interesting article in today's Sydney Morning Herald:

Philippines is South-east Asia's terrorism hotspot

More than 1700 people have been killed or wounded in Islamic militant attacks in the Philippines during the last seven years, the highest number in Southeast Asia, a human rights group said today.

In a report, US-based Human Rights Watch blamed two small militant groups based in the southern Philippines for the killings -- Abu Sayyaf and the Rajah Solaiman Movement.

The scale of violence in the Philippines, however, has not received widespread attention outside the region, said John Sifton, senior researcher on terrorism and counter-terrorism at Human Rights Watch in New York.

"Extremist armed groups have spread terror among civilians in the Philippines," Sifton said.

"They have bombed buses carrying workers, food markets where people were shopping, airports where relatives were waiting for loved ones and ferry boats carrying families."

The 28-page report also faulted the Philippine government for not prosecuting those responsible for the attacks. Although some suspects had been arrested since 2000, it said very few had been brought successfully to trial.

The group also criticised Manila's new law to fight terrorism, saying it contained "dangerous over-broad provisions that violate human rights standards".

"The Philippines doesn't need a new abusive counter terrorism law," said Sifton. "The government isn't using the laws it already has, so why does it need new provisions that violate human rights?"

The Philippines is hosting Asia-Pacific's largest security gathering this week in Manila, where it is pushing for Southeast Asian countries to create a regional human rights body.

Human Rights Watch said it suspected the Abu Sayyaf and Rajah Solaiman continued to have links with rogue elements of larger Muslim rebel groups -- the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF).

The group called on the United States and the international community to provide assistance to ongoing peace talks between the government and Muslim rebels to make sure any deals reached would promote human rights and protect civilian population.

"To end the bombings, kidnappings and other violence, other governments have to pressure Philippine leaders to put a greater emphasis on protecting civilian life," Sifton said.

 

Hate to say it but these groups seem to get away with these actions everywhere. The phils may have an easier solution, since these "rebels" ar on small Islands, thus iradication should be easier.

i got nothing with extremist who target civilians but the problem is a lot more complex, somebody mentioned muslim blood, well likely if you see the history of the Islands most will have muslim origins somewhere.
