    Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere. I received an email from Cebu Pacific announcing service to Melbourne, and promo prices starting at about 2300 pesos one way.
    Must purchase 2/27-3/3 for travel between 8/14 and 10/31.
    I'm on a cell phone now and not able to post a screenshot. But the link in the email just took me to their main booking page, and sure enough there were SOME flight available in the promo price range or slightly higher (I saw fares between 2300 and 3300 pesos one way). Fares vary by date and day of the week, some days being 5 times the promo price.

    Was curious so went to the Cebu Pacific Official Page just to compare and put in every date from March 1st to March 31st, (I could not make sense of the dates you posted) Manila to Melbourne One Way and was met with the following message for each enquiry;
    Manila (MNL) [IMG] Melbourne (MEL)
    Cebu Pacific Air
    Sorry, flights for this day are either sold out or unavailable. Please choose another date, or search again.

    Manila to Sydney resulted in some available Flights (but nothing to Melbourne) with the cheapest being 6000+php. I would suggest you side step the email you received and go directly to Cebu Pacific and enquire regards available Flights, (if you are intending on traveling) as I have read on the (Facebook) Philippines Scam Warning page about a few who were lured into buying Tickets via fake sellers, either paying in full or sending holding deposits only to end up blocked and losing their money.

    Just be careful mate regards any email as they are very easy to fake. Use the above legitimate link to search for a Flight, not the one from an email link.

    Hi Brian, appreciate the concern as I've definitely seen some very real looking scam emails. I'm pretty sure this one was legit as I could see the same promo by just navigating to the "real" Cebu Pacific website.

    The reason you wouldn't have seen the promo fares with your search is that they were for TRAVEL between August 14, 2018 and October 31, 2018, but had to be PURCHASED before March 3 (or until sold out, which now seems to be the case). The service to Melbourne may not have even been available on the dates you searched, but in any case, the promo was not available for those dates.

    Just went back to the site and it looks like the promo tickets are sold out. I've attached the original promo email and also as it appeared on the website, and screenshot of the lowest current fare I found now just using some random dates. Yesterday there were still tickets available each way for about 2,500 pesos to Melbourne and about 3,300 return to Manila.

    I went to Cebu Pacific website yesterday and looked at those dates August 14, 2018 and October 31, 2018. Sold out.

    Thank you for clarifying. I never knew Cebu Pacific flew to Australia before your Post. I flew to the Philippines the last time via Philippine Airlines which was cheaper then Singapore Airlines, which I used the first time I came here. Only Bummer is it looks like Cebu Pacific does not fly to Brisbane. I am hoping to eventually take the wife and Daughter to Oz for a Holiday and will be on the look out come the day for cheaper flights. At least this adds another viable option and with Promo's, come the day, I can keep an eye out and plan around that.
    Thanks! :thumbsup:

    The last time I went via Singapore I was placed into a small room and told to stay there and someone would come and get me, around 5 hours later someone did come to get me, but that was the longest 5 hours of my life surrounded by smelly Injuns and Paki's eating of of the floor dropping food all over the place like wild monkeys! That is why I flew Philippines Airlines the last time so I could avoid that experience again. I flew from Brisbane with a 1 hour stop over in Darwin, then direct to Manila. No smelly Goat Herders in sight! :bag: Just wish there were direct flights without the stop overs.

    Redhorse and Brian can confirm these Cebu Pacific promos to Oz at present as managed to snare a one way Manila to Sydney for June 2 with meal and 20kg luggage for AUD$149 but there is only a few seats on each flight within the booking periods so you have to move fast. Good point about possible scams Brian especially through facebook.
