Does anyone knows where I can buy a used or brand new car/SUV automatic transmission in dgte.? Going home soon, and planning to buy a car. Your help is highly appreciated. Thanks.

When I was there last week I saw an awesome car dealership across from Lee Hypermart. Someone told me that the prices are VERY low. A customer had recently purchased a Mini Cooper there for only 300,000 pesos or something like that. Nice BMW's, etc, all very cheap and good maintenance.

There are lots of new in used car dealerships in Cebu and you could take the ferry over. I don't know if that would create problems for registration and insurance when it came to renewals?

One guy in Dgte used to bring cheaper Cebu cars & SUVs to Dgte to sell. It might be prudent to shop in Cebu if you can.

right after you step put of the airport area and going straight to downtown(highway) you will see several dealers displaying their secondhand CAR/SUV, and some also going to sibulan.

I just came back from my first visit to Dumaguete. In addition to the roads having no pot holes or trash like Cebu. I saw Mitsubishi, Kia, Toyota, and Suzuki Dealerships. There was also some decent looking used cars. I don't know about pricing vs. Cebu. But it has been my experience that new cars in CEbu sell pretty much for sticker (WHICH YOU NEVER SEE THE ACTUAL STICKER LIKE IN THE STATES) and depreciate at a rate of 10% per year, regardless of miles.

the price difference of cebu and dgte used car is not that much, and some price in dgte is even cheaper, the biggest disparity only are the number of dealership you can visit,or shall we say you got plenty the chooses in cebu, coz dealers in dgte know that it is inexpensive bringing bought car or SUV in cebu to dgte, thru tampi-bato route.

10% depreciation on a used and converted car is a conservative estimate, it will just go down to maintenance.

10% is what the insurance companies (in CEbu) use to depreciate the value of a new car for insurance purposes
