Perhaps that is why every website makes you click "I have read the terms of service" before joining. Do you suppose you give them permission when you click "yes"?
As this has nothing to do with Malware and more to do with education on the ubiquitous use of cookies throughout the internet, I've changed the title accordingly.
Cookie Usage | Dumaguete Info From the signup page: Phew....dodged one there. I thought for a second there you might have had a case and someone might have seen some jail time. /sarc
Please, stop talking about sex. You're making my nipples hard. Have you ever considered writing romance novels? And it's not helping your case anyways. Syphilis and other STD's have never stopped me, and if there is no condom to be found or purchased within a 1 minute streak distance... wish me luck. As long as there's grass on the field (preferably mowed) and the thing hasn't grown teeth, I'm going in. ETA: Oh, and she has also agreed to the terms and conditions.
Oh, I suppose I should give you a proper technical response as well. You're screwed. Really, if you have to ask how cookies work, then you are way behind the game. It's you vs. the machines and the machines are already smarter than us. Forget all the privacy BS you read elsewhere. Google has so much data that the company can likely ID you even if you never setup an account with them. These services know more about you than you do. If you have been using the internet for X years, then you are already too late. These people are using your data in ways you can't even imagine. Humans are creatures of habit and the machines can trace these habits (including things such as writing style.) People who are able to stay hidden today have always been security conscience. One of the founders of the open source movement, Richard Stallman, didn't even use the internet before Tor became available. He would request one of his aides visit the page in question and print it off. If you think Google is bad, how about the NSA? What do you think they have on you? Who do they report to? Do you think you can opt out of their collection of your data? If you want to be reasonably safe, use Tor with the highest data settings. Javascript won't work, which means much of the web will be broken. You may still be able to log into certain sites, but Google, etc won't be able to track you without JS enabled. If you want to be even safer, use the "Tails" Linux distro. While you're at it, you might as well do a full drive encryption (must be full drive because anything less can still be recovered) so that the illuminati won't even get your data if they resort to a home invasion. Don't badger these small sites about malware and cookies. The laws and general public knowledge is way behind on this. Privacy is YOUR responsibility. Do your research. If you are really worried about privacy, the technical knowledge you'll find in this forum won't be enough to help you. ETA Added video of angry person vs reality in today's internet.
