I'm looking for a nice gym in Dumaguete, one that includes free weights, equipment such as Nautilus and Precor, as well as cardio machines.

What's the best one that you can recommend? How much are the fees? Also, are there yoga studios in Dumaguete with certified instructors?

    I'll appreciate your answers. Thanks!

nomad, i doubt anybody can recommend you a NICE gym there in dumaguete, there are some gym's but i guess they dont have those mentioned brands, and its not US standards.

few place you can visit, CELLUTRIM in between cangs and leeplaza, theres one at the back of leeplaza second floor above the tavern before, theres this one near Public plaza, raffys gym in mangnao area, aquacenter basement(beware of tetanus, hiihhiih)

"House of Choy" gym is at the back of lee plaza. Im currently sweating my a#$ there. hehehe... been there for almost a year now. Im not recommending it though but it will do (for me!:D). Still, do check it out. its 650pesos to start with, then, the renewal, if u'll still want to continue the next month, wud be 600. These rates are effective October 15 (as wat is posted on there notice to thier members). The old rates: 550 to start, 500 for the next month.. Anyways, do still inquire if ur interested..

    Good day!

    Gym

In Dumaguete, I had a tough time finding a gym to work out in. House of Choy was just too hot, and the equipment was in rough shape. Cellutrim was at least air conditioned, and I liked their trainer, so that is where I worked out at for two weeks. Neither gym had enough free weight for me. In fact, my home gym in the states is larger than either one of them.

I had thought about building a "great" gym when I move to Dum. in two years, but was just wondering about support.

    Have fun lifting.
