MUCH quicker way is to go down to Liloan with V hire or bus (about 1.5 hour)
then take the pumpboat to sibulan (30 mins) then trike to dumaguete (10 mins)

Thanks Yabs, I deleted my message going back to Cebu City and taking Super Cat as that would take many hours and cost:greedy:.
How much do you pay the pump boat?

Just take any bus heading South from Moalboal, tell em to let you off at Maayo terminal.
Thats the boat that takes the Ceres Liners from Cebu to Dgte, arrange to board on of those buses at the boat dock when it loads and it'll take you to Dgte.

Maayo boats leave every 1 1'2 hrs.

yes Mya is also another alternative but it takes you to tampi which is still quite away from dgte
I've done both but prefer the liloan, sibulan route as the crossing is also shorter. pumpboat is about 50 P i think
fast craft is catually not any faster, more expensive and less comfortable.
but yes for overall convenience and cheapness the bus
route via maya and tampi is best

be aware though that on those buses you are frequently the only long nose there and will be jam packed running south
going from maya is no problem as this is where it starts
