⌛ Hi people, just a quick introduction

Hi, Caz and I (Dave) are getting married in Siquijor in December. Although Caz has family in Cebu and a fantastic friend on the island who is doing a great job of organising things. I guess answers to the odd question posted here by us would be of considerable value and highly appreciated.

We both live in the UK, so, although not exactly frought with danger, it ain't plain sailing either steering the ship 8000 miles away from the rudder.

Just thought we would give all an insight before we start posting.

Congratulations! i already replied to your post that you are looking for a band. I posted the contact numbers of our band leader (Tyrone) hoping that you'll consider our band (KOOFELLAS). Actually, we've been doin a few gigs on wedding receptions in Siquijor particularly in COCO GROVE BEACH RESORT and other gigs on most places in the island. I believe u've made a fantastic decision in having your wedding in Siquijor.. the place is really breath-taking.. overall, its the best..

Everything seems to be falling into place and Dec 15th has been picked.
There is a new resort not too far from Coco beach which has been booked.
(Paradiso I think)

do you live on Siquijor?
I have visions of spending my honeymoon looking for a lot on the island as I have yet to hear a word against it.

15th December, ... sonds like an invitation for all DI-members.. Siquijor is a great place in general, but very basic, depending on what your expections are (power, daily-needs, internet), I think Siquijor has a lot to give and loveley people.

Was telling my friends about my forthcoming wedding in Siquijor the other day.
Told them about the venue, the guests, reception, and how well everything is going. One said are you being married in a kilt since you are Scottish. I replied, “of course I am, Its very heavy, and bulky to take on the flight and I might even pass out in the heat but its worth it as it looks so smart”. Impressed, one said, that’s great, what’s the tartan?

Without hesitation I retorted “ I’d imagine she’ll be in white like any other bride”
