Any recommendations for a resort that has a nice beach and pool? Within a couple of hours of Duma. 'Kid friendly' would be great, decent food a bonus also, but a nice beach and pool. And as mentioned, allows day use, maybe even on weekends.

    Thanks!

What is your definition of a nice beach?

I like Tori's Place in Siquijor - it is manageable within two hours but, of course, tied to ferry times. I am not aware of the policy about day use so you would need to check that.

It is very close to the ferry terminal at Siquijor Town, has a clean sandy beach, swimming pool, accommodation with sea views (if ever you wished to stay o/n) and reasonable food. I would definitely describe it as 'kid friendly'.

Fair question, good question even, but I'll just rephrase as 'what resort within an hour or two of Duma has the nicest beach and pool?'

Past that I'd just fallback on a Potter Stewart quote, so hopefully it's enough for some to work with.

Thanks. We'll almost certainly be overnighting when we go to Siquijor so the 'day use' bit shouldn't matter.

    I don't know.
Pura Vida Resort at Dauin is a nice resort, just a 5 minute walk from the Dauin Fish Sanctuary, great coral and many colorful fish there to see, maybe even a turtle .

Thanks, that looks like a nice place. As part of a FB auto reply they said - 'For daytime visits, we have a consumable entrance fee of P200/person and a non-consumable pool use fee of P200 (optional). ' So probably not the least expensive option, but looks like it might be a good option nonetheless. Thanks!

I don't think that is expensive for the area. You are going to pay P150-300 consumable entrance at most decent resorts. There are Filipino oriented places but they aren't going to meet your expectations.

As for the pool fee: If you are going to a beach resort why are you wanting to swim in the pool...instead of the ocean? If you want a pool why not go somewhere like Bambulo?

Touch Down in Agan-an, Sibulan has a nice pool, entrance is P70/head for the more thrifty conscious. Closed Mondays tho, Tues-Fri 2pm-11pm, Sat-Sun 10am-11pm.
