According to the news Pat Taiwan is on a ban, Just had a mate come home early because Chinese are traveling from China to the PI Via Taiwan
Not as of this postings time stamp. USA and Taiwan are in discussion of the fact that the (W.H.O.) considers Taiwan is a Province of China even though it's an Island. Italy and Britain have just imposed bans and restrictions on Taiwan. I submit you can expect very likely that it may be placed on a restriction in the next day or 2.
Yes they are - Taiwan is part of the current travel ban. PAL and CEB have begun cancelling flights, not sure about the 'foreign' carriers.
I read the question as (from Taiwan to USA) If someone finds a link confirming a ban on that., share.
Curious about this too, a quick googling only mentioned the Philippines so far and it was to the Philippines only. I could see a lot of flights getting cancelled as one way flights aren't favorites of airlines. It looks like going in the Philippines is being enforced. https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/loc...-in-taiwan-amid-coronavirus-outbreak/2217079/
One China Policy. Many countries do not officially recognize Taiwan as a separate countey from China. The One China Policy came about when western countries wanted to expand their trade with China. The Chinese insisted that Taiwan was a rogue province and countries had to agree to China's position if they wanted trade agreements. I know the Philippines adheres to the One China Policy as they do not have an embassy in Taiwan but an office called MECO (Manila Economic ???). My GF had to go there to get travel documents when she wanted to go back to the PI. Her passport was lost (aka her employer didn't want to give it back).
