I'm happy he's home too and doing well. Still a little weak but in general he's ok.

I understand someones suspicions with this scenario but I couldn't afford to be wrong. If he's really sick when she called me at 3am Phils time..then he needed to go to the hospital.

If Her and the whole family were scamming me That would have been on them. I would have learned of it soon enough. She knows that.

But like I said I couldn't afford to be wrong.

Now can anyone answer me about Phil health...what's the cost..the process and any reviews as to the viability of the plan?

You may want to take a look at this website.......Philippine Health Insurance Corporation

You sure are a concerned guy, you go all this far by financing the family's insurance:smile:

However, if your fiancee is working. She may have philhealth coverage. Or if any of the family is working, the other direct members are covered. Which makes me wonder, is any of the family member working? It is rather weird if none of them are.

if they dont have work they can still get philhealth. I think they only have to pay 200-300 per years, its almost free. The govt. is the one who will pay the rest. They will just to go I think on their own municipality and ask how to apply .

My only concern, because you are offering this to them, for the Filipino thinking means you are ready for some other things they might ask from you in the future.Beleive me that's not the end.And when you say NO to them in the future for the next needs, they dont count what you help before they will considered you as BAD.So be careful to be generous.

Sorry daffs,i don't think the govrnment will pay the rest of expenses when in philhealth, but maybe will cover the xpenses depending on the contribution.I have cousin who had ceasarian delivery in SUMC (silliman hospital) becoz she has phil health she got reduction of hospital cost only.the over all cost was nearly P70,000 pesos, she got reduction of over P7000 pesos, good enaf.

    Hello lame,

that's not what I mean, what I mean people who have income will have to pay monthly to philhealth if you are a member. But if you dont have any income, you can still apply for philhealth and you have to pay 200-300 pesos per year, then you have alraeday a philhealth .

I said that the govt. will pay the rest, its not more on the expenses of the hospital, its more on the contribution of this people (who have no income) to philhealth.

Don, I'm Glad To Hear That Your Relative Is Now Recovering .

Let Me Tell You Of My Personal Experience With That Place.

My Father In Law Was Diagnosed As A Diabetic 3 Years Ago And Is Treated By Dr.Amante In The 'Holy Child Hospital' And Has Received Excellent Care. As My Wife Pays For Her Fathers Drugs & Consultations, He Is Reluctant To Contact Us For Help When They Have Other Problems.

Just Over A Year Ago He Was Involved In A Motorcycle Accident And Was Rushed Into The 'Provincial Hospital'. We Only Found Out A Few Days Later When My Wife Made Her Usual Call To Speak To Her Father. When He Was Admitted They Just Stuck Him In A Corridor And Left Him For 3 Days Without Treatment As He Did Not Have Cash Upfront. We Immediately Had Him Taken To Holy Child Where They Treated Him And Were Willing To Wait For Payment.

It's An Unfortunate Fact That You Only Get What You Pay For. I Would Never Use The Provincial Hospital And Would Rather Pay For Better Treatment Than A Funeral.

Things Can Only Get Worse With All The Doctors Becoming Nurses And Going Abroad.

P.S. If You Need A Good Dentist See Dr.Chua 'Holy Child Hospital'.

    Daffs

your final statement rings true and I've seen it with my own eyes with my EX and her family. It boggled my mind when this would happen.

The situation was a bit different though...her and her family kept trying to pull one scheme after another with me and I would flip it back on them...it always backfired on them and they would get indignant and call me the trickster!!! LOL

Coming from them trickster is a freaking compliment LOL. She had burned me once but I thought she still had "good" in her but I learned I was wrong.

Sorry for the rambling...YES...Forgeting what you've done is strange to me but I'm aware of it. Thanks for the heads up.
