    Hi everyone,

    It's me again (you'll get used to this:smile: )

I hope this is the right place to ask this.

When I return to Dumaguete in January I shall be bringing my son and his friend. They will be staying for about a month - and so, I shall need a car for that amount of time.
(I have seen 4 on a motor bike but I don't fancy it)

Does anyone know where I can rent/hire/beg/steal (oops! strike that last one!) a car for a month?

    Thanks.

    Al.

Thanks a lot Rhoody - that seems a bit expensive to me. I rented a brand new Honda XRM 125 for about 140 pesos a day when I was there a few weeks ago. So, maybe I'm expecting to hire a car for maybe 500 a day. If not, I shall just buy a car.

Teach, I dont think you get a car for 500 a day, mostly I heard prices between 1500 and 2500. I f I hear something different I will let you know. I am sure that Andy at Devlins makes a special price for long-term rental. Just write him a mail, or call him.

Also depending on your plans, do you really need the car each day. You can reach many places by public transfer, and for special tours yo take a van with driver, at least you do not need to think about having one or two alcoholic beverages

Rhoody - many thanks for your advice (and everyone else.)

Maybe I shall re-think my strategies.

I thought a car would be useful for 2 reasons:

    1. When I have guests at the house - getting around and about - Duma. City - Bais - etc. etc.

    2. It is not easy to bring the weekly shopping or any large purchases up to Valencia on a motor bike.

Perhaps I should look for a cheapo Suzuki van type thing or summat like that.
