    Hi there Swan. Just curious, is Lechon not the focal main dish during Dumaguete's fiesta celebration? Just want to know coz if the time comes for us to retire in Dumaguete, then I have the idea of what are the popular dishes to prepare and serve during fiesta time.

    Yes, Chrissar, lechon is also one of their main dishes. Infact my sisters there in Piapi are going to have 35 pound pig to be roasted (poor piggy:() I feel sad for all the pigs that are going to be butchered :( Oh. well, it's our tradition. Morcon, chicken joy, estopado, humba, etc ,etc., are among the dishes they're serving to the guests. Hmmm, I'm drolling thinking of these main course. I'd better stop here. Hehehe :smile: :D

    In our compound( many neighbors) two Kanding (goat) one large pig for Lechon.
    Last night we had grilled sinugba ( from another pig we bought a share of), with pancit, and ading's delicious hot sauce with chili. Today the girls are making a couple hundred, it seems like, spring rolls, or Lumpia if you prefer. I'm getting fatter already. :D Not to mention SML, SM Plisen.

    Yes, I like goat meat, too, it's taste like lambs meat. When I was back home in Dumaguete a couple years ago, they butchered a goat and made some goat chops and kalderetas. I tell you ... uuhhhumm ... it's soooooo good and delicious. Lami gyud kaayo.

    Rice is the killer RHB, makes you put on weight. I am on a low carb diet and found that it works, lost 2 kilos and hoping to lose 3 more. *burp* :D
