What’s a typical Dumaguete hotel or beach resort like?

Dumaguete hotels and beach resorts are strewn in well-visited places like Banilad, among other places. Dumaguete is accessible from Manila through RoRo (Roll on and Roll off) sea vessels which often take half a day’s travel. If a quicker means of reaching Dumaguete is opted, there are planes ready from Manila to Dumaguete airport. From the airport, some Dumaguete hotels provide shuttle services to pick up guests who call in to request such service.

Many Dumaguete hotel and resort facilities are top class. Reservations may be arranged right from Manila before going to Dumaguete, or have them from the Dumaguete airport after landing. Such service gives a feel of royalty to visitors, and takes them to the hotel or resort spot feeling noble. Hotel and resort reservations typically deliver excellent service, making visitors and their families well cared for.

Typical Dumaguete hotels provide air-conditioned cottages, if visitors prefer single detached lodgings out there in the open fields. Single occupancy may cost as much as P1,300.00 plus overnight, with additional rates per hour of extension. There are Dumaguete hotels that charge about P1,600.00 plus overnight for a two-person capacity cottage. For standard air-conditioned rooms, some Dumaguete hotels charge P1,300.00 plus overnight for one-person rooms, and about P1,600.00 overnight for two-person rooms. These rooms are tourist-worthy, providing amenities that guests will appreciate and find quite convenient for a relaxing stay.

Dumaguete hotels also have more luxurious air-conditioned rooms, ranging from some P1,600.00 plus overnight for one-person rooms, and about P1,800.00 plus overnight for doubles. For an overnight family affair, Dumaguete hotels may provide roomy posh family suites costing some P2,100.00 plus a night. Should more people need lodging---say two or three families---many Dumaguete hotels have provisions for such exigency. There is a common P300 or P500 a night per bed offers for extra lodging needs. These are equally comfortable and cozy individual spaces that afford bedding comforts and amenities, with common toilet services.

Most Dumaguete hotels are ready for other special functions and gathering events. Ostentatious celebrations like a wedding, birthday or debut event, special family affairs, graduation ball, and the like are well handled by a lot of Dumaguete hotels.

A simple overnight stay or a major celebration shouldn’t be cause for worry in Dumaguete. Alone, in pairs, or in groups, a stay in Dumaguete is superb with the many Dumaguete hotels ready for both simple and grand occasions.

A taste of Dumaguete hotels will add lots to the vacation experience. With plenty of modern amenities at very reasonable costs, staying for a night or two in typical Dumaguete hotels explains why Dumaguete is a favorite destination of tourists today.

I once found a 100 peso note under the mattress and a brand new box of condoms in the drawer my Dumaguete hotel room.

And there was even a complementary Bible in the nightstand! I have it to this day!

    Dumaguete's great!

Were the condoms complimentary too in that hotel?

Resorts 1500 plus is accurate. But there are small Filippino run resorts in sibulan, Babayon for example, (and no doubt elsewhere) where you can get aircon room for 800 plus per night with nice pool and cabanas.

In city Pension houses; if you spend more than 1000 per night, your spending too much. Of course this is an opinion. You can spend more, but you don't get more. And in the Philippines who sits in the hotel room except to sleep?

Banilad Pesion, (outside town just a little south) 200 plus for aircon room, it is clean.
In town: OK Pension has fan rooms for 400plus, aircon for 800 depending on size and occupancy, it is typical Philipine pension, (run down chic).
Other newer pensions range 800 -1500.

I am 100% positive that the money u found was left by the guest for the cleaning crew of that hotel, if not misplaced. and the condoms, well, again, perhaps from that said former occupant of the room. the bible is not complimentary for u to take home. the bibles are for guests who like to read the bible before going to sleep.

He prollie didn't take the bible (Gideons, I'm sure) with him, just the 100 peso bill as a keepsake. Welcome to the forum, by the way Ana.
