SRV--that's so neat. It will only become messy wading through the process so stay intent. Thanks to this forum, am learning something new. Honestly, my first to hear/read re SRV as a formal retirement item for foreigners in this country. I thought one only has to get married to a Filipino/a.
Manila: Am with Progmeister--stick to your hotel's protocol, enjoy a safe airport transfer, hire one of your hotel's reputable cab driver, get picked up after your bznesses are done, don't wear flashy real or unreal jewelry, stay cool. You might have read all of this summary, implicit or explicit, from the above. As a local used to traveling domestic air and water ships, keeping all of one's eyes and ears open helps.
Progmeister, i like very much your clincher line: about some people being still alive because it's illegal to kill them. he he he

Advantage of a subdivision is when you are always travelling then you can leave your house safely.More safer also when you bought the property there, no hidden problems like how many owners the land is, papers is not exact, land not titled etc..I'm processing now buying a property in one of the good subdivisions in Dumaguete all very clear what the land you get, the papers no hidden problems, dealing with the right people there. As there are alraedy some here who have problems of land buying there, I'm alraedy very careful what kind of land I have to get.Thank's also for others who share their experiences in PI not only nice experiences but also bad experiences as its a big help for us how to be careful of dealing things there.

    Hi Mam A :D

So true. If it wasn't, I'd probably have half-a-dozen shrunken heads in my collection by now :D

    Hi daffs,

May I ask what's the good subdivision you are buying? Why is it nice, how much are you paying per SQM, and How big lot?
And are you sure subdivisions are any safer than non-sub? The guards really do do their job there, or mostly sleeping like the rest of subs in Phil?

    Hi,

I choosed a certain good subdivision there in Dumaguete, and I know how safety it is because I alraedy have relatives living there for so long. It's 3,000 per sq. meter. But the price of the lots depends which Lot, how many Lots. Not all the lots in one subdivision have the same price.

The rest I'm sorry I dont like to give very details of the place where I bought, where I stay in the future etc...here on the net.

It's defficult for me to answer if non sub is not safe or safe.I think it depends where you stay.If your house is in the barangay or in the city then I think bulglary is more happening in the city than in the barangay.

About subdivision I dont know about sleeping guard, but I think it depends what kind of subdivisions, there are high class subdivision properly manage , there are also lower quality subdivision sometimes no guard even.

Where to stay it depends of our taste or for some other reasons....
