While black magic is most powerful for those within the belief system, it can even have effects on non believers, indirectly speaking. don't discount it's powers among locals.
I think even the way they have adapted the catholic faith to the native animism and supernatural is interesting.

 

Although this thread is about ghost and fear of them,wish your wives or your wives relatives would fear more the druggies or real life people with some nasty intent that can do more harm than those ghost and superstition stuffs.Strong beliefs of the supernaturals getting in the way into kind of obsession only impedes right judgement or restricts normal life functions ( my opinion btw ) ...that's simply what i'm tryin to say RHB .Why can't you see connections ( sigh ) not any topic of how to be a rocket scientist ,i'm pretty sure.:p I'm only injecting somekind of variations but still related to. trying not being too direct in incase anyone here would get offended .

That type of fear, when dealing with the supernatural, is usually a good indicator of the demonic. A lot of people are concerned about "human" spirits but they seem to ignore the fact that there are "spiritual" spirits as well. Namely, angels and demons.
We are supposed to fear only God, but we tend to feel that supernatural "loathing" and fear when dealing with the demonic as well.

 

I knew someone in Davao, he was muslim and he said it is true with this potions and superstitious beliefs....and one said that the quack can even make one person like someone having sat on a particular chair or space the quack had done mumbled rituals....or use love potions...he mentioned that is how some ugly men got this pretty women!!!!

So i told him well can we use that with someone else's cow herds..... let the cows march in towards your own farm and make them stay:D

 

Does these explain how some 'mature' white expats get very young wives with similar age to their grand daughters ? lols.

Must be an expensive and effective love potions from the quack.lols

 

If people don't believe in encounters with supernatural beings, I suggest they go to the USA. In the USA, 50% of the general public have either been abducted by aliens or seen flying space ships (pls note: 95% of all statistics are made up on the spot).

The phenomenon is made even more intriguing by the aliens unquenchable and undoubted fascination with the USA, for it appears that they have no interest in meeting or studying people from any other countries.

I suspect that they too are taking love potions.

I'm very much a sceptic and I've never seen a ghost but I stayed in a youth hostel once that was so creepy I couldn't sleep and had to get out of there. There was something weird in the basement that I was too scared to investigate. I found out later that lots of visitors to that building had similar scares. So I'm taking advice from Teach's wife and won't be staying at Sea Forest.
