Hi I am korean. I found here a few days ago.

I'm glad to join and know everyone

I'd like to go to Dumaguete city because friends of mine live here!!

But sadly, I don't have much information how to get there.. , where to stay..
and so on..

I hope I could get enough information about Dumaguete..

Welcome to the forum Brad .If your main destination is Dumaguete ,better fly to Cebu (nearest island),then catch the ferry from Cebu city to Dumaguete on the same day or by Ceres bus going to dumaguete .If your flight is arriving in the afternoon you'll miss the 2 ferries ,which both leave in the morning,they have crazy schedule though .If not you can do it the following day ,stay overnight in Cebu and start in the morning .There's a link in this board to the page with lists of hotels in Dumaguete.
I noticed many Koreans in Dumaguete during our last visit and a korean restaurant to be opened ,perhaps operating now,and a korean grocery somewhere in the interior near the airport,might make you feel a little bit at home.

 

actually a early flight from Korea to Manila and a connecting flight to Dumaguete is way easier than the Cebu trip.
our resort tried both for our Korean guests and it was faster and way more convenient for our guests to make the Seoul - Manila - Dumaguete Route
But if you have some time, you may wanna stay some day in different places on your way to Dumaguete.
I am also sure you will find almost all the information you need somewhere on the board...

Hey! India-One. The bullets just shows that I love to play with my 22 long riffles and caliber my favorite thing to do on my free time especially during summer months, right now it's freezing cold outside no fun can't play.
