    I disagree
most people in third world countries are often poor through their own making
ie having 5 or more kids when you can't afford to feed yourself is not wise but it happens all the time
    especially here
third world countries are porr because of one main thing:
    corruption
so bone head and geldoff are catually patting corrupt governments on the back.
greed has ciased this recession though
and the yanks should not get away with it
lending money to poor people with bad credit aint wise

"every one to whom much has been given, much shall be required"

I agree that those with abundance should help less fortunates when they can. However, I disagree with the premise that those that have been given opportunities in life and benefited should feel shame or guilt because there are poor people in the world.
Here in the U.S. I see people every day squander opportunites for education and general improvement of their lives (including proper use of money).
    THAT is shameful.
Sorry for going off-topic but I think this needs to be said.

I wasn't disagreeing that a large market adjustment is underway, just your characterization of the event.
btw: The Amero is a myth based on a 10 year old academic excercise by a retired Canadian professor, nothing more.

The Amero and Ufo's have a lot in common.
Bin Laden is watching all this with some satisfaction I think, the U.S. took the bait, and now he is watching with a great deal of satisfaction. There is little danger of more terrorist attacks, one was enough to achieve at least some of his goal. I am not sure he is that smart, but it worked to his larger agenda, sa?

It's kind of like watching a horse being stung by a swarm of hornets. The horse goes crazy runs kicking and jumping and runs headlong into a tree, knocking himself out.

Im surprised how so many writers here know so little about the markets. RHB should change his id to "chicken little".

The 3/4 point cut was perfectly timed, the world cant sell off the dollar, because its to busy buying them in their own panics, which appear to be about twice the size as ours. So in the end we get our washout, and we end up on top. As usual

Me? I sad nothing about markets???
I was refering to a national policy that led the nation to a 9 trillion dollar deficit, 5 trillion after you factor in social security and other government trust funds. A policy that has the dollar at an all time low. The U.S. has waged under the Bush administration, a corrupt war started on a series of lies to the American people. It has drained the economy contributed to runaway inflation. Those are the facts.
Of course I assume it's better than what the situation would be if the Yanks had not prevailed in the "war of northern agression". We would still be growing Indigo and cotton and living on run down plantations giving the rebel yell.:D

I think the other guys beat me to the chicken little mantle.:D
