With many overseas dumaguetenos and negrenses coming back home to retire plus expanding expat community ,orig population nearly will double ,more new BPO industries coming in plus increase student population would be a significant push up for more amenities to cater the needs of these people .I'm not against the idea of development as long as wont be like sprawling mess of concrete and too many ugly buildings around ,should get rid of the cab webs and better sewage system in place than that crappy one in the middle of Rizal park.

charm will still remain prog if you think of it.

For customer service rep I was told starting is P7000/month with a raise after 6 months, a little more for other certain positions.

No, I have a friend who works as a cust rep. there, the info I provided was what he told me several months ago when I asked him. I assume most positions are in this ballpark salary figure with the exception of cultural trainer, which should be about double of that.

This is considerably lower than they pay in Cebu and Manila, and probably why they built it here because they thought they could save a bundle on labor.

Some interesting happenings in the call centre industry recently. President GMA has predicted a 40% growth in the call centre industry in 2008.

Teletech has won a national call centre award for expanding its operations to ten centres outside Manila.

Our nephew is earning 20 000p per month plus shift allowance and annual bonus in a Manila call centre which services the US market.
