Hello, I will start with the building of a small house, and i search a store where i can buy the roof. I am not looking for concrete roof but for steel roof that's look like a "real" roof. Can anybody give me some addresses of companies / stores in Dumaguete / Bayawan? thanks remco
Man, If you have to ask that question, I don't know if you are ready to build your own house. Roofs are made, not bought, from various steel reinforcements and sheets. Good luck anyway.
remco, although I can't confirm this as i was in the store a few months back before i had to fly back to the US, you may want to try someplace like citi hardware in Dumaguete. I don't remember if they had roofing and building supplies, seems like that they had a contractor board with business cards or information there OR just ask a manager if they could refer you to someone? just a thought as it seems no one else has volunteered you any useful information. My friend in Dumaguete has a construction supply business. I just asked him for his contact information (business numbers) via text and as soon as I get this info, I will post here for you. I don't know if it will be more or less than Citi but, you can check for yourself.

thanks for the reply's. Last December we look around in Dumaguete for the construction Stores and roof builders. In City Hardware they not sell roof materials, but is a good store for other things like doors and ceramic. for roof building we was found Virgo Color Roofing. they was make a good offer, so we was plan to buy the roof there. But then they start calling that we have to pay 10'000 Peso for price protection and things like that.. we try to get more informations about that company, and found out that they do very bad business: they let you do the downpayment, and then not deliver the roof. I know about 2 People in Bayawan that was loose more as 100'000Peso with that company, and try to go for the court... In the moment i am back in Europe, so i cannot look myself for a "new" company.. that's the reason that i was ask here.. Greetings Remco (pls: sorry for my bad english... )
Yes, Virgo has a bad reputation among customers. I was about to buy my roof there. JAMES VAN will not ask for money beforehand, they do cash on delivery service. They also provide warranty on the materials. I was here in England when they did my roof and it's fantastic. I went home last January to see it. Just ask for a quotation from them and let them email it to you.
I once worked for this company that manufactures steel roofings and reinforcements at the same time market it. visit DN Steel in dumaguete. They are at corner perdices and luke wright streets. Try visiting them. Look for Jul Gallogo. tel 2259950. Virgo is just a retailer. They even also sell DN steel produgts.
