Sorry to hear that. The bike looked nice to me a I assume it is a very practically vehicle for shoping, transporting bigger items and shorter trips with the family. Hence I got bike which is too small for shopping and got a pickup which is to big for parking I was condifering to buy one of this bikes as well.
I'm pretty sure it would have been a 200cc 10hp Gas model as most are, it is said they return around 30klms/ltr, there is an uprated one of around 238CC 11hp this is also available as a Cargo Truck.
It was pretty convenient; fast enough to make the trip from Tanjay to Dumaguete decent and easy to park. Not a fan of motor bikes in the PI and parking our truck is a massive pain in the backside. I'd consider another one in the future if it was electric. Shawn
Like Stefan, I have an interest to have one of these and perhaps get rid of our car which does get so little use that it may just be a useless expense to us, added to that it would sell for the same price today maybe more than we paid for it 5yrs ago, but I did get this very cheap as a Repo. Now there is a choice of two models of the Bajaj the RE with the 200cc engine at 10hp or the Maxima with the larger 11hp engine which is slightly longer and has more width and I guess that will offer even more stability? I would imagine they are quite reliable as they have been making them in India for 40yrs, but I do wonder about their level of comfort on some of the roads here? Also I never did find any owner reviews that were not written in some gobbledegook Asian language.
