I am live in Denver, Colorado. I've been searching for Balikbayan store here that I can send heavy stuff to dumaguete but can't find one. Anybody knows the best economical way to send heavy stuff to Duma from Denver?

I've used LBC to ship a box from Seattle to Dumaguete. Was delivered with no problems in about 5 weeks from the date of drop off. Good luck finding a location in Denver but call 1(800)338-5424 for more information on a local office.

Try asking Filipino restaurants and/or stores in Denver. They will be a good source of info when it comes to shipping boxes to the Phil.

Larry, did you have to worry about the total weight of the box or the weight does not matter as long as the size is 18X20X20.

This will be my first time.

Last fall I shipped a box from California. It arrived with with many items missing, even though the security tape was intact and the box did not appear to have been tampered with. I learned 3 lessons from this. First, I should have made a list of all items, keeping the original with me and putting a copy inside the box. Second, I shouldn't have shipped with Manila Forwarders. Their "investigation" of the incident took months and numerous emails and phone calls from me, and in the end they refused to honor their insurance because I had signed for the box when it was delivered before examining the contents. Finally, don't sign for the box until you have compared its contents with your list.
