There is a Harley mechanic living in Bayawan. A lot of guys from cebu use him. The clubs here are generally the political elite and you have to be invited to join, although sometimes you will be invited to ride with them. Generals, political magnates etc. Another good mechanic for big bikes in Dumaguete is Henry Nodado in South bags past Banilad.

    Hmmmm! Can't afford a Harley.

    How about a CCC?

    (Chinese Chopper Club)

Nah! - Doesn't have quite the same ring as Harley does it?

there was a bike contest in Angeles City 2 weeks ago, "best chinese chopper" was one of the 6 categories... I need to have a look, maybe some of the pictures are publishable for a family-board like DI...

you see Al, your idea is not that bad...

These bikes are okay to pose on the boulevard, but take them off the highway? careful now do not scatch the chrome! This is not real biking, how about a trip up to Camp lookout on one of these?...lol

These are okay for posing on the boulevard but try taking them up to camp lookout, watch out do not scratch the chrome! Or even taking them off the highway they are not practical at all

actually there is a chinese bike club here in dumaguete. The owners all have MotoStar Z-200's. not choppers though, they are the road racer types. If you look on Motorcycle Philippines web, they have all kinds of clubs for various brands of bikes. So there you go Al, start one for Hensim choppers.

    big bikes

Thank you Travel Time for giving me the distance to Bayawan.

By the way, I just broke my right arm in a cycle crash here in the states. Slid on some gravel left over from the snow storms, and wrecked one of my customs.

A man from Moto. Phil. emailed me, he said he was an exec for DHL shipping, and could get cycles imported fairly easily and legally with a reasonable fee into Manilla. Then, it's just ship them to Dumaguete. We'll have to check that out more deeply, and I'll let everyone know.

I also have a Japanese chopper. A Honda 750 four cylinder that we put into a Harley frame. Huge rear tire, 250 mm, or about 10 inches wide. Very radical paint. However, it sits so low, and rides rather roughly, no way would I bring it over to the Phil. I would like to bring over a Harley to leave in Manilla, and my Indian to ride in Dumaguete.

Any more information on biking is appreciated. I've ridden on the street for years, and don't do the dirt much anymore.
