I was in Dumaguete from Tuesday until this morning, to help out on some of the basic logistics of the start-up team of engineers and some officers of Fressenet, the sister company of FF Cruz & Co. Fressenet won the rebidding of the structural works for Robinsons Place Dumaguete. Surveys started this morning. They replaced Monolith Construction. With the coming in of Fressenet, structural works will now commence. FF Cruz & Co.'s forte (and for that matter Fressenet) is marine engineering and land reclamation.

Based on the initial data i've gathered from the engineers, they will now start working on the foundation (which has been one of the causes of the delay due to the soil problem on that area), then the structure. They estimate the time table for this to be between 6 to 8 months. I will be able to supply you with more details once i get to the office tomorrow.

Did you get the spelling right? Is this the multinational engineering firm (Australian, I guess) doing some construction works on major infrastructures in Metro Manila and Calabarzon? From what I have know, the spelling of the giant construction firm that I know which handles world class projects goes like this: Freyssenit or something like that.

The website address of Freyssinet Philippines can be found here.

    Their main website is here.

Am glad with what happened. Monolith, I guess, is only a Philippine company. Freyssinet is a world class multinational company and definitely has something more to offer in terms of experiences and quality.
