They better transform that area into a theme park with giant ferris wheels, starbucks, seattle's best and restaurants. Tourists and foreigners would be happy. And make that area a passenger only port, and the cargoes to be unloaded in Bacong, Sibulan and Amlan.

I don't know what sea-port you mean, but it can't be the Dumaguete one. There was one passenger vessel leaving this saturday-morning and the reason was a VIP (no it was not me). ships going still via Tampi and Ducom. According to some political sources it is a good chance that the pier opens tomorrow again, but we all know what country we are in and the value of any political source. Lets hope...

    J,

The Ducomi Pier has again opened for Divers. Some dive-shops are even allowed to go Night-diving there at present. I don't know if yours is one of them as they are not the most famous one when it comes to dealing with officials.
I had the change to do a night-dive there and it was just unreal. A normal dive there is one of the best dives in the world, but the night-dive was "THAT" dive.

The Dumaguete Pier seems to have business as usual for passengers again.
    cheers

    Thanks Rhoody

I did many night dives at the pier but that was I think 6 years ago when it was allowed than.
And I can tell you at night is is a complete different world over there .

    Jan.
I can reassure you (as far as that is possible here in the Philippines  ) that the pier is open for diving.
I did also make a dive there today.
No problem if you have contacted the right persons.
Like Rhoody proposed you, come and dive with me at this special place.
Had some specific nudibranches, schools of fishes around me and of course the frogfishes. It's an amazing dive spot to film and dive.
    See you soon Jan.
