    NO FEAR

was the theme when I went to the construction site of Robinson's at the South of our lovely Dumaguete City around 3:00 PM on a hot Thursday afternoon in April 2008. And what can I say....

    Robinson Dumaguete has finally opened
    ..... The Fence...:p

So I entered the field of destruction, errrm I mean construction.
I might have been a bit noisy as I woke up the security guard inside. To my advantage he had to get back into his shoes before he could follow me, so I had time to get an overview. The bushes and small trees on the sand-dunes are already around 1.50m high all "heavy" construction-equipment is hidden somewhere.

When the guard caught up with me, he was playing with his weapon and told me to leave. I asked him is I can make a few pictures and he told me very clearly "NO", still playing with his gun... I asked if he would shoot me if I make some photos but could not get any answer, so I asked if there is anybody "important" around who I can talk to. He said that there is nobody at the site at all and tried to call somebody with his cell but guess was low bat... :D

When I left the place I walked around the corner, climbed on top of an running easy-ride (imagine the locals around, watching a sweaty fat long-nose doing that at 3 pm) and took 3 pix with my cell-phone. My new friend was already back in his working - position (sitting on a chair in a shady corner with his shoes off and eyes closed)

Here are my snapshots, they are a bit blur, so you can't see all busy workers architects and engineers...

    cheers

    hehe...

you think its a good idea to post your number with your picture and that name on a public board ???

anyway, I may take that opportunity, but I also like the way I did it, as I just relay on that what I see and not another story (there are only some 100.000plus official and "behind the scenes"-versions and rumors and involved companies around since it was announced that there will be a Robinson's in Dumaguete).

    cheers

Better that they flood the area and plant rice, it would have infinately more value and possitive effect on the local economy.

I saw a blue heavy equipment this afternoon while passing by the area. Looks like they are excavating the area.

Maybe they are going for a new concept, open air mall. Walls, floors, and roofs are over-rated anyway.

RHB must have strong connections to the construction company or to god. Half of the place is already flooded..

I needed to pass there after the heavy-blue-equipment-post to ensure that I am not blind.

If there was heavy-blue equipment they passed the security-guard like I did before and sunk in the new Dumaguete-rice-field...
Echir, I was wearing a blue shirt today, maybe you meant me...

Anyway, I have a date tomorrow morning with XXXXX (the person asked me not to Publish his name) one of the engineers in charge . Let's see what he tells us. I WANT A GOOD CINEMA and real MEAT soon!!!!!
