There are news circulating that the Intel semiconductor plant in Cavite faces an uncertain future and may close down soon. the reason: high maintenance costs, taxes, electric bills, as well as alleged scams by some employees. More on this story.

Valencia, on the other hand, has been proclaimed as an ecozone by the President last year because of the presence of geothermal energy in the area. Locators there will enjoy tax incentives and lower electricity bills.

In view of these, why don't we push for the relocation of the Intel semiconductor plant here (the one found in most of our computers)? Sounds ambitious? Hmmm...

So the idea is to turn beautiful, rural, residential Valencia into a industrial zone? Maybe they should relocate Robinsons there:D

On the other hand, it will generate jobs for our people. I guess it could be managed well.

relocating Robinson hehe, at least this would ensure that Valencia would stay a rural residential area for many many more years.

Just like Texas Instruments is in Baguio. I don't know, but maybe semiconductor and microchip plants do not generate smoke and pollution...
