    Hi Folks,

Does anybody know if there are any ATM machines in town? and if so if they require 4 number or 6 number pins? and what would be the maximum the machine would allow as a withdraw (I know there is also the limit of the card issuer, but some banks in the Phil are way below my limit any useful limit).

Would you know what the machine would charge you for the transaction?

Alternative would be banks that allow you to do it at the counter using the card (not a credit card) to get money.

    All information appreciated.

I guess there are some 30 ATM in Dumaguete, 10 for International CC.
Limit 5k - 20k. Normal ATM card causes problems at the bank-counters.
The machine never charges you, its the bank as they don't work for free (like most of us) if you dont have an account with them.

    cheers

    Rhoody

    Thanks Rhoody

And yes I know it is the machine who charges you on behalf of the bank who does it on behalf of the shareholders who do it on behalf of themselves.

Still, does anybody know what the charges are? as some banks take a kings ransom and others a very reasonable fee for pulling money out of the wall.

    Thanks

hhhmmmm... butting in again guys, hehehe nothing to do while eating breakfast!

local transactions, no charge, if you transact in your own bank where you opened the account, or if you transact with an ATM of the same bank.

if transacting in an ATM other than that of your bank's, as long as its local (philippines), less than 50pesos per transaction.

    international transactions -- no idea.
