    Hello Hanna,
the plane to Cebu and Ferry (or Ceres-liner or V-Hire) down to Dumaguete is an option. Another would be a Bus from GenSan all the way up to Dipolog and a ferry directly to Dumaguete.

    cheers

6th Youth for Environment Summer Camp

Hi, angel.............this year's YES camp is currently at Foundation University, from April 28 to May 2. Main objective of this event is to help the youth become aware of climate change, global warming, and other vital environmental concerns. Last night was a welcome performance but officially, the event started today. I think more than 2,000 students, teachers, coaches, supervisors from different public and private elementary and secondary schools nationwide are participating in this camp. Expected activities will include field exposures, environmental film showings, plenary sessions, workshops, contests on essay writing, slogan making, quiz, spelling bee, on the spot poster making, YES-O exhibits, YES-O spotlight, SAYAWIT sa Kalikasan, Search for the Lakambini and Lakan ng Kalikasan, and munting Bayani ng Kalikasan Awards....... and by the way, DepED Center for Students and Co-curricular Affairs (CSCA) Youth Spokesperson Sam Concepcion will grace April 30 (Wed) Search for the Lakambini at Lakan ng Kalikasan at Sofia Soler Sinco Hall.....the KASAMA beautiful girls and hunks are also around today........

The participants are divided into 6 groups for the field exposures:
    Group 1& 3 - PNOC Geothermal Plant
Group 2 - Twin Lakes Balinsayao and Danao
    Group 4 - Casaroro Falls
Group 5 & 6 - Banica River and Institute of Environmental and Marine Sciences
I belong to group 5....not by choice but from draw lots......

I think Dumaguete City is indeed the perfect place for this Summer Camp with the beautiful natural sceneries, clean surroundings, gentle people around, and especially the erratic climatic condition (intermittently raining and then hot sunny weather) which perfectly can be attributed to cllimate change.

Other YES camps were held 4 in Baguio City and 1 in Iloilo City...

Yes, i am having a great time here in the City, angel....... and I will try to upload photos once I am back home...
