    Hi guys,

I new here, expect that somebody can give me some information with regards to your best tourist destination.

Me and my husband love to travel, we visit at least one new place every year. This year we are planning to visit Dumaguete this coming May. Were planning to stay in Antulang Beach Resort, the thing im not really a beach bum, i easily get bored staying in the resort and i would like to see other beautiful sites in Dumaguete. What can you suggest? Is it feasible to explore other sites if we stay in Antulang since i believe that this is an hour away from the city. Or do you suggest that we get a hotel in the city and rent a car that can bring us to tourist spots?

I would really appreciate answers from you guys. Thank you:smile:

Been to antulang yesterday. *no comment*

Personally, I would suggest that you get a hotel in the city and rent a car that can bring you guys to tourist spots.

I'll comment, Antulang to my tastes is a self contained overpriced exclusive resort. It is far from everything and difficult to get to unless you have transportation of your own. The beach is below a cliff which you have to climb or walk down to.
But to each his or her own.
There are good resorts closer to the main road, closer to town and nightlife, and for much better prices.

    hi guys,

thanks for the quick reply... Now im dropping my reservation to antulang and consider a hotel in the city, is Coco Grande Hotel a nice choice? I am also thinking of South Sea Resort or Well beach i saw their pix in the web and it is quite interesting, are these resorts just near the city or Valencia? I think valencia has alot scenic spots to offer?

How far is Siquijor from Dumaguete? Any idea about boat fare and travel time?

    Thanks!

    Need some info...

I checked the prices at Antulang, and they are very expensive, probably as much as any place on Boracay, the Florida Keys, and other tourist spots.

We have stayed at the El Dorado twice, and enjoyed it immensely both times, and very affordable.

We also stayed on the boulevard as well.

Next trip in July, our new house should be done.

Coco Grande is a very good hotel and of course.....not the cheapest then !
But you can walk to the centre of town.
South Sea Resort is very OK, but further from the city (takes a trycicle).
Well Beach is 22,5 km south from Dumaguete, and also very ok.
Valencia is always not near to the hotels/resorts you mentioned. With a motorbyke no problem however
Siquior by ferry is quite easy. Don't have the time schedule at hand now.
