There is a science elementary school in West. It is patterned after the Dumaguete Science High School.

i agree with both of you. but environment always have influence on a child's growth. and mind you, fresh college graduates find it easier to look for a job if they came from prominent schools. first impressions last, as they say...actually i don't mind if my child goes to public school, but as long as it is a good school. i know my child will do good anyway. but a child with brilliant mind could do exceptionally well if she is provided with equipments, materials, and modules that could support her education. i think some public schools lack these things due to they depend on what government could give and what people could donate. .

    hello ronahhannah,

yes,SPED in west city elementary school and science elementary also in west are good schools....and they are now offering preschool as well...all u need to do is have your child take the qualifying exams...and i think the exams was last month, april, im not sure though if another one will be done this may....
kids here are good not only english and math but in all subject areas.

YMCA is another good school for preschoolers too..kids there are quite good readers and ready enough for grade school when they graduate.

    goodluck!!!!

You are right ronahhannah.Maybe if I also have a child in the future as long as I have money, i will also look fo his or her best maybe I will also go for the best school ,depends if the child can handle it.Sometimes money is there but the brain is lacking.

I mean not all children are talented and can take the high pressure of high standard school and I knew this from a child of my friend, she even withraw the child from this private school because the pressure is just too high for the child and cannot take it.

    @ ronahhannah,

Check the The Negros Chronicle, May 04, 2008 issue (also available online) out. Look for "Quality pre-Schools make future quality leaders" (column 4-6, p.3).

    Happy reading,
    Josephen
