It would be easier if you were 35 years old and above! That way you could have a SRRV which allows you to own a business. But I guess, the easiest way would be to find yourself a Filipino business partner that you can really trust
aLWAYS HAVE money coming in from outside never rely on money you hope to make here to fund your stop in paradise and only invest what you would be prepared to lose
Have to write this in my diary - but I actually agree with yabs on this one. I've lost count but I would know of a couple dozen westerners who've tried businesses in the islands over the last thirty years...I only know of one who was successful in the long-term. There isn't much money around....partners can rob you blind or sell you out...the competition is severe...and very often competitors (and those officials not adequately bribed) will stop at nothing to destroy your business. IF you need an income stream...leave the money out of the country...Much safer there...
well said why not seems the most succesful any ideas why? apart from good food and only disco in town of coirse
I liked why not when I lived there, good food , good service and a nice view, I miss it , just to echo the earlier comments, make your money in the west spend it here, it don't work the other way around!!!!
Hi Yawning, welcome here....101% here have knowledge about business, etc. especially Rhoody.....yes rhoody was right, you can't open business in your own name.....its easy to start a business after u marry a filipina.....goodluck....
hi pips, i want to start a business in dumaguete. just a food booth. does anyone have an idea on the price if i would rent in lee plaza? also how much is the cost of the business permit?... tnx
I have a better idea for you. Go to the Sy family and ask if you can make a kitchen in thier new building that houses the call center. You will have plenty of traffic (people) and you might get a better deal. Just a thought.
