In Sibulan Basket ball court, there are often shows bands and sometimes disco's. The battle of the bands can be interesting when the singers can actually sing.

I actual prefer to stay away from Dum nightlife and its seldom I am in the city after 7 oclock in the evening. I have small local bars and eating places (I am very filipino in my taste for food, and have very little problems with tummy bugs) where I go and talk to the locals. I have made many friends and have made attemps to learn the local tongue of which improves daily.

I think many ex-pats tend to seperate themselves from the locals and for that reason have no true understanding of the culture and have no clue about local organised entertainment such as one finds in Sibulan and in Dum.

There are better things to do than spending time in expensive bars, eating places and seeking out tempary sexual partners. I only seek ex-pats out when I get homesick for well spoken english and some meet me for a drink locally and mingle in with the locals.

When it comes to nightlife its more cost effective to do as the Romans do. I have been only once to Why nots disco and same again to fantasy the latter being totally boring.

Good for you. Learning the local tongue is an excellent idea.
