1,500 a day? Plus I'd have to probably spend about 1,000 on fuel every day. Ouch. Let me think about it.

That's cheaper compared to V-Hire who is a member of this forum caymimi. I rented his van for more or less than 5hrs for 3,000 pesos plus 1,000 pesos for petrol. Think Devlin's car hire cost is just right.

Don't really know about renting a car in Dumaguete but in Cebu City the cost was outrageous. Devlin's rates sound good to me.

Thanks for the advice. I sent Devlin a private message yesterday about reserving a car for 10 days next month. Hope to get a reply soon.

    Car/Van Rental at Devlins

Is Devlin's Car Hire for one day is still P1,500? Is one day means 24 hours?

My family & I will be in Dgte for 3 days in Sept this year. Will Devlin's Car Hire be available on those days? We are 6 people (2 adults and 4 kids), can your car fit all us?

    Thanks for your help.

There is an organization of vans for hire with drivers here in Dmgte. I don't have specific info, but if you are a tourist it is much cheaper to rent a van with driver than just a car in most western countries. My neighbor is part of this system, they have published prices to specific locations. Unfortunately they don't seem to publicize there services directly, choosing to work for resorts and bussinesses. They advertise as a group in the Sunday Cronicle.
    Wish I had more info.
