A very close family relation has lost everything, a house, 3 cars, and etc as they live near the dam that gave way and caused the flood. According to them, the whole place was like ocean, their bungalow house was no where to be seen. They ended up climbing the neighbor's roof as it was a two-storey house, until the rescue arrived. We are so glad that the whole family is safe now... It's devastating...

Glad to hear the family is safe Chrissar. I just left Dumaguete a week ago. i was there visiting close friends. i've been glued to the news and websites trying to see the damage of typhoon frank and everything seems to be telling me all the answers i'm not asking.

I've heard nothing on Dumaguete. I'd like to say no news is good news, but my nerves won't listen.

What about DGTE. How was it hitted by typhoon Frank? Anything destroyed?

I am asking cause of trouble with reaching relatives by the phone today and yesterday. I have also relatives on ILOILO,so of course I am worried.

Strong wind, heavy rain and high waves were hitting Dumaguete, but compared to other regions in the PI nothing happened.
phone and internet were down in many regions and it is hard to reach friends and relatives in several parts of the PI. Plenty of fishing boats and small bangkas were destroyed, some diveshops in Moalboal lost their boat.

The storm Warning came out too late. The Typhoon changed unexpected the direction and turned north after hitting North-Cebu towards Luzon.

I hope all your friends and relatives are ok....
