I finally got word from friends in Dumaguete last night. There were a few small landslides, lots of rain and strong winds. But for the most part Typhoon Frank didn't do much there. They were without power for a day or so. But that's about it.

Illoilo got hit badly, Dumguete mostly brown outs, minor flooding. Valencia was with out electricity for 55 hours, and water as well for some of that time. Flooding in the low lying areas especially rice fields etc.
We were lucky here this time, but one has to wonder how Dumaguete would fare in a severe storm.
