Boracay = boring decay! Just got back from that cess pool. I was going to stay for a week. I decided to stay for two days. I have been there over 20 times. It has become lousy!

Went up to Bagio. Great place. 3rd time there. No beach though!

I have not been to Bohol. This will be my next trip.

Well, yes, rude Koreanos. I remember waiting in line with some filipinos at the gate at the airport to leave. These rude koreanos just walked passed everyone and tried to cut in line in front of everyone like they owned the place. The line meandered out into the hot sun and was very uncomfortable. I grabbed one of them and asked him what the &*%% he thought he was doing. I was pissed off. I guess they thought it was ok to cut in front of filipinos and they did not see me in the line. You should have seen the look on his face! Anyway, his whole group went to the back of the line. I hate to speak in glittering generalities but, these koreans were just plain rude. They act like they own the place and to hell with everyone else.

Kota beach in Bantayan was paradise and uncrowded.

Panglao has also some nice ones , i don't know the names but there were only locals and it was a plus as Philippino people are soooo nice!
    Alona was nice too.
I agree with previous posters about Boracay especially station 2-3 was full of seaweed or whatever was that green thing. Station 1 past Friday resort and Diniwind was great!

This is a fact and one that I posted several times on the Lonely Planet board and got banned for. Seems that only positive commenst are allowed on that
board . Borocay has for some time had a problem with Ecoli contamination.
This is caused by the spetic tanks leaching into the limstone , the groundwater and eventually the sea that you swi m in
Evidence of this is the green slime that pervades in high season
Thi si not natural and does not form the white sand there. it is formed by excess phospahates and nitrates in the water which this algae loves
This comes from washing water and sewage.
Alona beach on Bohol also has this problemn albeit at a smaller scale.
If you see lots of this green slimne then don't swi m as it means its high in ecoli and other pollution. Another sign is a kind of matting that you see over the sand and coral. This is formed from s high sedimantation rate also influenced by pollution

Yaps is correct. I would also say that if you go to boat station number 1 and look out right in front of the Red coconut hotel, you will see the storm drainage/sewage draining directly into the 'white beach' This disgusting and filthy water is a brownish yellow color. If you walk down the beach towards boat station 2 from boat station number 1 you will see this band of maybe 8 feet wide of this brownish yellow water. This band is parallel to the beach about 3-4 feet out. I believe it is referred to as littoral drift. When you get down to boat station number 3, the color of the band starts to dimish and between boat station 3 and 4 the color of the band has totally dissipated.

A friend of mine was just recently on boring decay and he got bit in the leg by a bug or insect. The insect gave him a small cut. He was there for about a week. The last day of his vacation on 'boring decay' he came down with a bad fever and a rash. He went to the hospital and discovered that he had TYPHUS! He is fine now. Ask anyone of the hotel owners on boringdecay and they know about this. Its being kept hush hush.

From boat station 1 to Fridays , I believe the water is okay but, I have never really looked at it. The tide runs from boat station 1 to boat station 4 so and the storm drainage/ sewer line that goes directly into the ocean is between boat station 1 and 2.
