Yesterday morning I received a call from Guenther of Casablanca. He invited me to try his July-Special. Knowing the size of his servings I didn't eat the whole day and arrived there hungry, ready to stuff food into my belly up to maximum expansion.

His special of the month is like the Hax'n last month a Austrian/Bavarian dish, called

    Schlachtplatte

(Schweinebraten, Kassler, Depreziner mit Sauerkraut und Bratkartoffeln)

and that for less than 300 Peso. The right picture is no second serving... no need to say that it was delicious... an absolute "must" when you are in Dumaguete in July.
I have no idea how he can make money with this monster-servings, but actually I don't care:D. Finishing that is a challenge, Jelly if you gave up on the Hax'n, there is no way to go through that.

The biggest task for the lovely staff of Casablanca was rolling me home up to Batinguel after that dish...

cheers (this time with dark wheat-beer)

I will go there in July with my whole family and order ONE plate
Is that on the right pic (plate with content + frying-pan with content) for only ONE person ?
No wonder that you soon have to stop with diving Rhoody.
Diving you can do without a fitting wet suit (I do), some waitresses can also roll you into the water but how to get you out of it again ? :D
You must have had big fun at Casablanca for the 300p :p

Jelly, the plate and the pan is ONE serving..

and not even that, he also started to educate a Pinoy/ay group how beer has to taste. Each of them left with 3-5 imported beer, they came back one day later to continue with going through the next of the 25 different kinds he offers...

... I just think he goes over the top with forcing his lovely staff to wear "funny" caps from Austria... I am sure this is a bad violation of all existing laws about human-rights...

    Guenther, see you at court

Look's good, but do they also have food for "normal" Asians with rice ???
or is it an exlusive "meat-lover" place ?

I was not sure about that so I just passed and asked for you.
and yes they have some philippino favourites. Guenther told me that he also will poor some Banana-Ketsup (to make the dish sweet) over the Espaghetti and can serve them with rice...

when i was there I recognized 2 philippino Ladies eating one Schlachtplatte together and each of them took a doggy-bag home, for 295 Peso a more than ok deal for high quality food ...

not like in a place at the boulevard (let's call it "Unhappy Paul") where you order some chicken chunks and the security guard drives away, comes back with a plastic bag from a street kitchen (max 30 peso), they poor it on a plate (visible for everyone), serve it and charge 100 +. I was there with another DI member, and he ordered it...

    cheers
