Hugo, maybe we can meet each other when youy're here.
Faz favor, bring a small bottle of vino verde and maybe I can catch up a bit again with my restricted knowledge of Portugees (it's a nice language).
    De acordo ?
I was a fan of Portugal (I mean the country with the people and not the too good soccer team :D ).
Lisboa is fantastic. What a nice city to go around.

As already mentioned by others, you can easily extend the visa here.
    Don't worry.
It did rain quite a bit the last days. But it's never a problem to find enough sun to swet and having a nice cold beer to cool down.

    Tom87: thanks for the reply.

Jellyfish: the vinho verde bottle might be hard to bring, but we can always meet over a cold one and chat. Would be nice to get the inside scoop on Dumaguete from a non-Filipino.

    Another question: vaccines.
I'm thinking of only taking the typhoid fever vaccine.
I just can't remember when and/or if I took a HepA, HepC and Tetanus shots (the latter: whether I took it more than 10 years ago). Lost my vaccination card, so no way to know for sure.
How did you people do it when first considering going there? Did you take them all in the country of origin, did you wait until arriving there or didn't bother at all with some of them?

    heLLo
About HepA, HepC, Tetanus and also HepB and aids you should take vaccine for sure...anyhow 10 years ago is 2 long time...so I would definitly do it again...

About mosquitos bites and all other ''animals'' don't worry couse it's nothing dangerous..in fact we had more dangerous ''animals'' in Europe..hehe

Oh...and also here in Dumaguete is a lot of very good doctors in Silliman medical center,,so anyhow don't worry...and just do it...
Go and ask your family doctor he should have informations:smile:

    enjoy and play safe..hehe

    Tom =)

I am leaving for Dumaguete from Spain on Nov 14th, but I will stop in Hong Kong for around 10 days first.
I will get the airplane ticket from HK to Dumaguete there in HK. I tihnk it is much much cheaper than get from here.
Since the filipino community in HK is so big, it is quite easy to find very enjoyable special offers in flights to the Philippines.

As I told before, I will settle down myself with my wife & baby in Bolisong ( Manjuyod) but I hope I can meet new friends in Dumaguete!

Anyway...Can I find FRANZISKANER BEER in Dumaguete? I love it!:D
