I was yesterday in a restaurant in Dumaguete and one of the manager showed me two 1000 Peso note and asked me which is the fake.
Serious, the fake looked more real than the original. Dirty, colors faded, and the "bank-typical" ball-pen-writing in the corner. It is a bit smaller than the normal
If somebody would give it to me, I would accept it as real, and most likely you could pay with that almost everywhere at the market and normal shops.

    but see yourself

    cheers

    heLLo..
but if the ''dirty one is fake?
u can see the differences betwen them...
the ''dirty'' one also have smaller lines in right corner...
and the paint somwhere is 2 strong...not so ''glass''looking like on the clean one...
but anyhow...hehe who would look if he gets the ''true'' money on the Pilipines right?

    guys watch ur money

    Tom,
we showed them to other guests and really everybody said the clean one is the fake. Maybe a clean banknote just does not seem right in the PI.
If you have none to compare you would take either one for real (like the guy who "owns" it now.
Anyway, I contacted a friend of mine who is bank-manager here in Duma to know if there is a history with those notes... I'll keep you updated about it
