Hi everyone, I have plans of retiring the next month. I have gathered up some income for the retirement period but I was keen on knowing the best ways of investing money during retirement. I know that are a lot of ways to invest as I have been watching on TV and hearing about them in the newspapers….but are these all beneficial??? What are the best among the various ways for investing…..please throw some light on this.

Real estate..... ??be careful, many of my acquaintances invested their money in real estate involved in trouble (mostly no proper legal papers the local owners)
you have to look properly whom you approach and who handle the real estate business that you like to invest into.

I am in the same position, but what I never will do at my age go into real easte to risky .
I think I rent a house get into my head how long I maby will live and make a scedual how much I can spent every month to have a nice live with no problems.
Sometimes i think to put my money in a diveresort but that is also a big risk cos of all the competition at the moment.

    Greetings J.Diver

Sorry Fisher ...... I did not really answer to your posting.
First of all....welcome on this forum.
Real Estate is indeed a good option, but if you read all the postings you will get aware that it is also one of the most tricky things here.
But....that's always the case...the more you can earn the higher the risk that you can loose a lot.
    Be carrefull !

The last thing you want to do in retirement is risk capital. Sure, if you can afford to lose some of your money go ahead and speculate. You may win, you may lose, or you can play roulette.
Stick with more secure investments such as guaranteed bank time deposits. If your retirement income from these sources are not enough to sustain you then you're not ready to retire.
Investment real estate consists of commercial property that you can lease or rent out. It is not the house you live in or some "fixer-upper" property so don't be fooled. However, in my mind, being a landlord is the same as having a job.
