Fair point but I doubt that if it was free competition the price would be 500 peso, overall boat renting seems a bit steep to me when I go to the Philipines, pitty since being on the water is the way to go in the filipines but it is often too much of a hassle.

I enjoyed browsing and reading posts here about Bais dolhins. I am planning to go there either this year or next. Please tell me what are the best months to see the dolphins?

August is an excellent month, but it seems to be still possible till end of October (acc. to someone who arranges trips to there till end of October).
So to have the best chances ....I should advise to go in the middle of the period...August.

 

is the season over for dolphin watching this february? we are planning to go to bais on feb 8. there are 6 of us coming. are there government boats operating at this time because i think 3500 is pretty steep for the tour. How much does it cost to rent a boat for dolphin watching?

you have another options ... if you rent a boat that will cost you 3,500php good for 15 persons that is already a package tour dolphin watching and sandbar but you just only stay at the boat that is excluding the cottage rent... You can save because once you just anchored at the sandbar no additional payment ... xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
