    crisis what next????

I have been a right winger all of my life, But I always felt I would vote for the best person right or left. But clearly Biden was running his mouth when he shouldn't have and he's the guy we're told by Obama who brings foreign policy experience to the ticket. But honestly we are already in a international crisis I just hope there is something left for the new president to save.

    "Teacher".....

The new "President" will be a Republicrat, just like the Republicrats that got the worlds biggest economy in the trouble they're in now. Same-o, same-o as they say...

The US Dollar/Treasury complex is the new and final bubble. Its scale is absolutely gigantic, off the charts. More people will be financially ruined in this one than in the dotcom, housing and commodities bubbles combined.

    Hang all the Politian’s

Republicans are turning to socialism. The Bush administration has decided to socialize the debt of the big Wall Street Firms. Taxpayers didn’t get to enjoy any of the big money profits on the phony financial instruments like derivatives or bundled sub-prime paper, but Americans people get the privilege of paying for their debt and failures. Mc Cain and Sarah Palin say Obama is the socialist? What is wrong with this picture? As for my personal opinion the idea that politicians can assess risks better than people who have spent their whole careers assessing risks should have been so obviously absurd that no one would take it seriously. Among the Congressional "leaders" invited to the White House to devise a bailout "solution" are the very people who have for years created the risks that have now come home to roost. Politics and politicians are what we really need to get rid of, we really don’t need a change we need to start over. And I really don’t know how this can be done.

Yup....Peso is now more than 49 to 1, Euro at 1.28. Both oil and gold is getting slammed---oil is just a tad above $67 a barrel & gold is about $727 an ounce. Take a wild guess which they'll go from here??? Those of you that thinks US treasuries is a biggest bubble this planet ever faced:D & US government will in no uncertainty go bankrupt in 2009 should back up your words----start buying gold & oil or exchange your USD to another currency.....to what? Maybe Japanese Yen?

The forex markets are not what you think. It is purely demand and supply.

You see the dollar strengthening due to perception of how each currency and its issuer will handle the recession. That is very inaccurate.

It is strengthening as the demand for dollars is high. It is high as people are liquidating their assets, trying to monetize "paper" money and minimize their losses. This is because everything is deflating, and cash is what holds value, better than stocks, property, and commodities. Most assets in the world are priced in dollars, and so liquidating assets creates demand for dollars most of all.....but this is temporary.

And any sensible person can see the disaster for the USD lurking right over the horizon. A broken pencil stub, a cocktail napkin and a couple of simple math computations should tell you that.

You've got an internet connection right in front of you with connections to the world wide web.

Try to learn how to use it. I'm not your valet or your financial adviser.

    blah blah blah

Well, you seem to have a lot of opinion with what's ahead of US treasuries but have nothing to offer on how ppl can protect their assets. Just as I thought though:rolleyes:
