I am coming to dumaguete from Denver, Colorado USA

Can you please advice me what is the best route with less hastles  .

    1. Los Angeles to Manila to Dumaguete

    2. Los Angeles to Cebu to Dumaguete

Is cebu domestic airport part of the international airport so I dont have to leave the airport or do I need to take a taxi to domestic airport? I think Cebu Pacific and Philippines Airlines makes daily trips to dumaguete.

    thanks,

    Eric

If you come into Manila you will have to transfer to the domestic airport about one half mile, maybe less. If you are patient and have time just wait for the free bus that will take you there, otherwise take your chances with the taxi's. I have flown into Cebu but not from LA, this is probably the less hassle way to go, not as crowded as manila and the wait for the connecting flight should be more comfortable than it will be from the domestic airport in Manila. In Cebu if your connecting flight is not until the next day find a taxi driver that offers personalized services meaning they will pick you up and if necessary advise you of decent hotels for the night and even make the wake up call personally when you are ready to get started. If your connecting flight from LA to Cebu to Dumaguete are more closely timed, even better you wont have to deal with long waiting periods.

    Hi Ramrocket,
Your best route with less hassle is to take Philippine Airlines from L.A. to Manila usually Flight PR103 leaving LAX close to midnight. You arrive Manila early A.M., clear custom, get a massage, have coffee and catch a flight in the afternoon (1pm) for Dumaguete. No need to get out from the airport.

    Thanks Pedro and Kinhason2.

I like this route. No need to get out from the airport.

I assume that Philippine Airlines have their domestic airport in the international airport?

Are there only 2 philippine airlines flight from manila to dumaguete
    8:15AM & 1PM?

    Hi Baxxmike,
After you clear custom in Manila you can check with the information booth attendant re: free shuttle to terminal 2. I am not sure if they have this type of service but lots of taxi waiting outside, just make sure to have their meter running when you get in.

I haven't had to use terminal 3, not operational til about three months ago. It is just a little further from 1 and then past the domestic airport. They should have a shuttle going there but you do have to ask because they do not seem to run on a schedule but rather on how many people want to use the service. If you see people queued up with their luggage just inside terminal one's exits then they are waiting for the shuttle, just ask one of them or as suggested go to the information booth as they will be the ones to coordinate a shuttle.

Terminal 3 is really new so be sure to post back here on your experiences and what the services were like.
